Telehealth Consultations
In light of the current Coronavirus outbreak, we recognise that there will be many people affected by musculoskeletal pain or disorders who are unable to attend an in-person appointment. As such, we are introducing a new Telehealth Consultation service. These web-based consultations give you the opportunity to speak with a qualified Chiropractor or Physiotherapist without having to attend our clinic, ensuring you get the right advice and support you need to help facilitate your recovery. All consultations take place via a secure programme called PhysiApp.
If you are unable to attend the clinic for your appointment you may be suitable for a Telehealth consultation.

Why choose a Telehealth appointment?
Well-designed telehealth schemes can improve health care access and outcomes, particularly for chronic disease treatment and for vulnerable groups. Not only do they reduce demands on crowded facilities, but they also create cost savings and make the health sector more resilient.” (WHO) [accessed 15/03/20]
Telehealth appointments are virtual consultations which take place over webcam. You’ll receive help with managing any musculoskeletal pains or disorders you are experiencing. You will receive appropriate, evidence-based advice and guidance from a fully regulated Primary Healthcare Practitioner.
We utilise a programme called PhysiApp. This is accessible on any device including the web browser on your computer.
For more guidance on what to expect, please visit Physiapp’s guidance page here.
What to Expect
Telehealth Consultation
In this consultation, your practitioner will ask you questions surrounding your pain and other health issues, conduct an investigation into your condition virtually (possibly asking you to do certain things to remotely test the issue). Furthermore, if additional tests are needed, an onward referral can be arranged and letters written for GPs. You may be given a diagnosis and management advice which may include exercise, self-help advice and home guidance. Prior to the Telehealth consultation you will be asked to download our rehabilitation application, Physiapp from the Google Play store or the Apple store. Most of our current patients already have this App.
The app is easy to use once downloaded:
During your consultation, we are able to create a personalised care plan that consists of various stretches, exercises and care guidance for you to follow at home. Exercises are provided in video format to show how they should be performed. You will be able to report on your progress via the app, allowing your Therapist to monitor your recovery.
